House and Office by DV Architekten

DV Architekten builded their studio-home in a plot with a big tree and decided to capture the shadows of the tree in the building facade, like a tattoo. The envelope of the building is made of translucent plastic panel reinforced with fiberglass “PRFV” of 5 mm thick. The graphics of the shadows have been designed from photos of the existing tree. The printed pattern is mounted on the panel, fixed and protected applying several layers of resin, so the final finish is uniforms and resistant. Via Read more […]

Olli’s Restaurant by C18 Architects

C18 Architects projected Olli’s Restaurant in a former castle in the center of Schwäbisch Hall, a medieval city in the south of Germany. The historical substance of the building with its ancient seeming, its almost meter-strong walls and its polygonal spaces forms the framework for a few, precise interior implants: two kitchen blocks and four large desks standing freely in the space. The atmosphere is determined by a floral topic, dipping the whole space into a vague red, giving the bar Read more […]

The Ring House by TNA Architects

The glass between the rings allow you to look straight into the forest, so the whole house appears to dissolve into the forest. Via World Architecture Read more […]

The fine floral ornament promotes the clean and simple character of the space while adding a touch of warm and live contrast and highlighting the cold austerity of the material. Read more […]

Farmhouse by FARO Architecten

This 150 year old farmhouse located in a rural area of Oeken, Netherland, has been renovated and expanded by FARO Architecten. The barn represents modern rural architecture: it’s simple, practical and eloquent. The barn shows how minimal means can lead to large results. The no-nonsence manner in which this “simple barn” has a large panoramic window shows a pleasant openness to conventional styles. This window invites the landscape in and leads the view outwards. The barn has one large space Read more […]
