Archipelago Summerhouse by Tham & Videgärd Hansson Arkitekter

archipelago-house1.jpg

A light-weight building in wood and glass, a summerhouse in the Stockholm archipelago, designed by Tham & Videgärd Hansson Arkitekter.

A continuous dissolution of space in tree steps. The house is organized in layers, the big rooms expand in open relationship to the wooden deck. As a result of the large glass panes and the prevailing conditions of light, reflections and mirrors like effects come up and add a quality where nature, space and horizon interacts.
