House in Mallorca by Joan Riera & Francisco Barceló

Joan Riera & Francisco Barceló projected a beautiful house located in a magnificent plot near the coastline, which suggested the creation of ample resting places.

The house is projected as two independent buildings with a courtyard in the middle protected by walls. The building accessible from the street contain the garage and the service area. The other building, accessible from the beach, contain the living areas and the bedrooms.

To protect the house from the intense sun, the sea facade is characterized by its blinds while the courtyard facade by its arbors.

  1. I’m not sure if the house front (or back) looks more like a giant closet door or an industrial size factory heating system outlet?
