The façade come to be a white and vertical canvas intensely illuminated in which only the shadow of a horizontal metal shape is projected outlining the name of the shop.

Once inside, the interior design follows the same principle of minimalism, enhancing only the fundamental elements around the customer and leaving the rest of the space self-controlled within a sober form.

After passing the reception area, where the locker is situated, a few steps separate the rooms for the customers. The first two are characterized by a bright luminosity; the white walls emphasize the strip where the mirrors are located, -lined in yellowish beech wood-, creating a strong contrast.

Lighting gains prominence because of the fluorescent light coming behind the glass, framing the portrait of the customer sitting in front of the mirror and giving the sensation of a floating reflection.

If the previous spaces have a predominance of horizontal lines, the third one is distinguished by the vertical mirrors. This room, separated by a sliding door, offers a more intimate atmosphere given by the used materials: dark wood and linen. The natural texture of the fabric covers the wall where the sitting area is located, close to the customer.

The project was executed in a systematic way. All requisite present in the sensory levels of the consumption (vision, audition, smell…), as well as the technical questions like the products display, were solved extruding the store brand. A square was transformed in a cube, which made possible to use the faces to brand communication, expression, and marketing. Art and technical aspects like illumination and sound system were integrated in the cube. The interior of the transparent cube is an open space to products display. Furthermore the multiplication of this cube all over the space generates a tridimensional grid that forms the Disco Experience space.

This tridimensional grid allows making spatial modifications easily in the composition of the store, amplifying or reducing showcase area, arts area and other parts of the store. The faces of the cube are rendered by adhesives which stamp brands, references and arts produced exclusively to the store. With few low cost modifications is easy to change the visual of the store and create a new experience in the costumers every time which the store is modified in any detail.

This one was the first store of a new brand with plans to expand and open new stores. So, to create a system that allows the brand customization in any kind of place or spot was a necessary condition in the development of the project. According to this principle, the system created to the store is global and easily adaptable in others places.

The company’s guidelines are reflected in each space: a large wooden hall is followed by a distributional corridor which connects with a technical room, fits up with hand-made furniture. Nearly, we can find baths, a small coffee room, individual studies and a large directive room, the place where Losan’s future was decided.

Natural light is another important element in this project. Windows are designed to take advantage of the views in order to create a wonderful atmosphere inside. Wooden finishes contributes to show a image of warmth.

We categorized Diamond Tile 2011 area for 3 main functions:

• Create an 360º invitatory and friendly welcome approach for the visitors.
• Bring out the atmosphere & space of “Sharing Lounge”. First, is between entrepreneur and clients, and then from clients to clients which leads to an interesting conversation or negotiation.
• Valued added, inspire and display the construction hardware product like the art exhibition.

This year, the primary reason of using Diamond Lounge space is to apply “HOW TO” of the  “Purlin”, hardware for roofing,the highlight of their product launching this year. We transform its functional into the element of booth’s construction by “joint” the bent–angle of the purlin together. To  describe the main structure, wall, huge lamp ceiling, it’s like we sketch the structure with clean white matt Purlin, appeared-shadow with the rhythmic of space & line of the structure, colour the pavilion with lighting, which we layered-hang LED PAR, fluorescent light box to create Lounge environment sense with our various programming pattern of lighting scene design, shown as dimension of Diamond Reflection.

Considering for the visitor circulation and space, the reception, product display and bar, we use these functions profitably by linking all activities and product benefits together in every part of the construction. By blurring marketing techniques, in stead of “Direct-sale marketing and clients” , we convert into “Curators of the house hardware and the aspirant artists”. The products will be more easily to approach, to understand and to exchange the opinion. More obvious, you can see various types of ceramics beautified on the pole, can feel the texture of laminate floor while you are walking around and read the “art caption”, details of products, and have some fine discussions.

As an Architecture studio, we have some details about the profession, the graphite color of the pencils, the prevailing white color like papers and the wall parallel. The inner wall of the room is very irregular. With the goal of unifying all these folds we propose some horizontal lines that run through the wall, painted with the same gray that the continuous pavement. This allowed us to provide the wall of a plot in a gradient, starting with getting rid continuously and gradually breaking up until the roof.

We designed the Lamp that runs around the room, from some sections of iron flowing freely through space with convergent and divergent lines, covered with several sheets of folded parchment paper, as if they were the same studio plans. The result is an enlightened paper path through the roof.

What was left was a very rough and “stripped” “appartment-structure” with a filthy wall-panel, brick walls with condemned plaster and an original wooden floor that was distorted and slanting, all creating a quite charming entity inspite of this extreme roughness.

“Cool” I uttered allthough I am 52 and the word not quite worthy of Ibsen.

The intention was to renovate the apartment to suite as a traditional and clean exhibition space, and the work was to be started. Beeing aquainted with Ibsen´s work I stated that this was precisely the essence of Ibsens work. A “Bourgeois-frame” being ripped to the skin, not being able to hidden the dark secrets. As an onion peeled to the last shell. Therefore the architectural idea became the utmost interpretation of Ibsens work, using the stripped space as an interpretation of the Masters ( Ibsens) way of treating his characters. Simultaneously the exposed structure fits as an archeological showcase for the building technology of the 1900.

Such the idea is to make an intervention between the old stripped appartment and the new interference, the exhibition elements. Therefore the exhibition elements are kept free from the walls to express the difference between the “facade” and the “stripped”. A new “floating” floor is established to symbolize the “stage” and is made free from the existing floor and walls, underlined with lighting,,, the Master is “staged”. In such way the electricity cabling is solved as well, being able to keep the old plastered ceiling untouched. The new floating floor thus also gives the opportunity to make showcases in the floor.
The colours are red in order to associate with the colours of the traditional theater from the time of Ibsen, and the curtains underline this as well.

The proposal is an integral architectural intervention of the space with two main goals: to maximize the lighting and ventilation from the facades eliminating unnecessary partitions, and to obtain a new distribution that contains all the uses required by its young owner: a bedroom suite, a guest bathroom and bedroom, a working studio, a kitchen and a dining room for parties and meetings.

In order to maximize the lighting it is necessary to achieve a structural intervention that completely eliminates the internal partitions and a structural wall located directly behind the back façade, which is key to the optimal use of light.

Moreover, due to the difficult geometry of the housing, all the different functions can only be accommodated through a flexible and unconventional distribution that allows joining and separating spaces and even change their function, depending on the occasion. The new distribution consists of a large diaphanous and spacious common area, which runs continuously from façade to façade, and a private semi-closed box formed by the bedroom suite and guest bathroom.

The common area is formed by the entrance hall, dining room, library, studio and living room in the rear facade, and the kitchen in the front facade. All these areas are aligned along a longitudinal wall made of hand made solid brick.

The bedroom is located between a high cupboard, with the double function of entrance hall wardrobe and bedroom closet, and a large wooden core containing the two bathrooms, which becomes a piece of furniture with shelves in the studio area. This furniture hides two large sliding wooden doors that allow the independency of two different spaces: the bedroom, which is separated from the common area, and a part of the living room containing a sofa-bed, that allows a punctual use as a guest room.
