Zecc Architecten restored and converted this water tower into a residence.

The steel floor of the water tank divide the tower in two. In the bottom part is the traditional part of the house, with the kitchen, the living room and the kids bedroom. Above, in the water tank, is the parents place with a bedroom, a sauna and a study.

To reinforce the relation with the garden and get more daylight inside, the tower has been cut open in the bottom part. The water tower keeps the industrial character thanks to the material choice of concrete, glass and steel.

I bet the tower has a small diameter to insert an elevator. Otherwise it would have been next to the tower… Wouldn’t like that
