Studio Guilherme Torres designed a shoe store located in a commercial gallery in a very busy street in Londrina, Brazil.

Project description:

The Queen Shoes Comfort project aims to cater the female audience looking for comfortable shoes to work or for leisure. The store is located in a commercial gallery in a very busy street in Londrina, Brazil.

The whole project was designed based on the materials and developed aiming the use of recycled products (wood), low voc paints and the furnishings are composed by pallets that received recycled canvas futons.

The architect Guilherme Torres made use of simple and rustic materials with references of a warm and cozy architecture. Presenting three kinds of material: part of the floor and the walls are covered with polymer cement and other part covered with demolition wood.

The ceiling was covered with polyurethane tensioned screens and the illumination is provided by T5 light bulbs as they offer low-energy consumption and high lighting efficiency and color reproduction. The joinery is actually carpentry, where it was used only demolition pallets, tainted hazel with a mixture of burnt oil reused from industry waste.
