+x Bar
Designer Dimitris Naoumis cooperated with tattoo artist Mike to redesign the +x, a well known bar int he area of Kolonaki, one of the oldest and much frequented areas in the center of Athens.
This creative collaboration gave a unique character to +x, considering that each one of them has already important creative routes in the contemporary art and design life of Greece. +x is based on elegant-underground design forms, and this uncommon combination gives the place its own special aesthetic character.
Some of the main design elements are, the combination of warm and cold colors and materials the street art references and the inspiration from Avant Garde art movements. These elements are mixed together harmonically, the creators gave special attention to every detail and most of the furniture and the lighting installations are designed especially for the place. These scenographic elements are responsible for the awakening of senses and feelings, and paradox-belle époque-contemporary environment.
The main purpose of the creators was to offer a completely different, new proposal in the nightlife of Greece. This optical dance of senses is completed with a variety of tastes of really interesting drinks and cocktails and also with several genres of contemporary music from many well known guest DJs.
