About a week ago I received a new book from Princeton Architectural Press called Le Corbusier And The Maisons Jaoul.
I was really pleased when I saw the book because I studied the main buildings of Le Corbusier but I never heard of the Maisons Jaoul. Weekend houses build of brick, concrete, stone and timber, that are the antithesis of everything commonly referred to as “Corbusian”.
A radical change in Le Corbusier’s direction that may change your assumptions and prejudices about the most famous modern architect of the twentieth century.
