Dom Arquitectura designed this music school, in the Can Fabra Cultural Centre, a building which historically was a textile factory. The project posed a significant challenge: to do a music school on top of a library. That supposed a great acoustic difficulty. Media Academy

COEN! designed a colorful pixel landscape for the Media Academy, a leading training institute for the media located in a stately villa at the Media Park in Hilversum, Netherlands. Here is the project description: This beautiful building has been renovated to restore its original glory. The interior was designed by COEN! to create a harmonious whole. Wettingen School Cafeteria by :mlzd

The old cafeteria of the Wettingen School was too small, due to constantly raising pupil number, so :mlzd projected the new cafeteria according to the typology of the existing buildings. Birkbeck College by Surface Architects

Surface Architects won the competition to create within the Birkbeck College the permanent home of the Film & Visual Media Reserch Center. They transformed the basement, ground floor and the extension into a unique 80 seat cinema auditorium, surrounded by a media study suite, seminar rooms and offices. School Extension by AAVP Architecture

To create the school extension in a historical context, AAVP Architecture looked to the typology of the farmhouse. The new building speaks the same language as the older ones but has a higher level of abstraction. It looks as if it has been modelled on a child’s drawing: a simple volume with a pointed roof, big, deep-set windows and brightly coloured playrooms. The North Wall by Haworth Tompkins

The North Wall, designed by Haworth Tompkins, is a new arts center for St. Edwards School in Oxford that incorporates a visual arts gallery, dance studio and theatre. The Official School of Languages by Javier Garcia-Solera Vera

The Official School of Languages, projected by architect Javier Garcia-Solera Vera, is located in a plot of Elche, Spain, that faces only one good direction, north, onto a recently planted palm grove. In the other directions are only noise, cars, the tumult of school doorways, etc. All the rooms look to the palm grove in search of light, views and tranquillity.
