Corten House

Marcio Kogan designed this unique urban house with a facade made of Corten weathering steel located near the largest park in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The dialogue between the rusty texture on the outside and the stone, wood, white mortar and the glass build the space. The main entry door to the house is made of wood and, despite being of a color similar to metallic plates, the texture and the presence of the material itself, distinguishes the suspended steel box of the frontal facade. Paperhouse by Heatherwick Studio

Heatherwick Studio has completed a series of brass newspaper kiosks in London. The kiosks open by rotating the front sections around the structure, allowing vendors to set their stock more efficiently. They are made of wood coated in patinated brass, supported by a steel frame. Kanno Museum by Atelier Hitoshi Abe

Located in a small town of Shiogama, Japan, with a view of the Pacific Ocean, Atelier Hitoshi Abe designed a private art museum intended to permanently display eight sculptures owned by the client. Sean Godsell Architects projected the Glenburn House, located in Glenburn, Australia, looking like a ship slicing through swells of earth. Flexible steel grilles, which can be adjusted to balance insulation and views, create a perfect box wrapping the house in a second skin. The East Beach Cafe just opened to the public in Littlehampton, England. The Cafe, designed by Heatherwick Studio, is sliced diagonally and open to the sea. The opening is filled with glass doors and windows, being able to operate during inclement weather.
