The house, designed by ARX, has a strong rural character, with small plantations, orchards and pathways limited by roughly stone walls. Located in Romeirão, Portugal, the house is facing south over the valley, furrowed by a small river and a mountain in the background. Avanto Architects designed this lookout tower located on a cliff of the Korkeasaari Island with spectacular views of the sea and the city of Helsinki. The free form is inspired by its natural setting: it follows the existing low stone wall and skirts around a small birch grove. For the 40th Montreux Jazz Festival, Nestlé had the opportunity to have a bar on the lake side serving food and beverages. Fulguro designed a platform that would go from the edge of the lake onto the lake itself. The platform was shaped like steps allowing a maximum number of people to enjoy the view of the landscape.
